How OneReport Works
How OneReport Works
Fill out the form on the home page with your name, email, and the property you'd like a building report for. You'll get an email letting you know you're in the group. There's no commitment at this point, but this lets us know when there is enough interest in a property to initiate a building report.
If the minimum group size is met (usually 3 buyers), we'll contact everyone with:
The building inspector's contract/terms
What's included in the report
Payment details for the report
Every buyer pays a reduced cost for the shared building report.
This saves each buyer hundreds of dollars compared to everyone purchasing separate reports.
Our Inspection Partner (Alert Building Inspection Services) puts together an independent building report that meets NZS 4306:2005 standards.
All named buyers receive the same report at the same time.
Each buyer is a named client on the report, meaning that this gives each buyer:
direct reliance rights
insurance protection
proof the report is valid for them personally
This is what separates OneReport from the “shared PDFs” agents often circulate. Your report is legally valid in your name and completely independent of any agent commissioned inspections, with each group member recognised as an individual client.
If not enough buyers join, the group simply expires. There's no charge and no follow-up required.
We never share your identity with agents or sellers.
Your details are only used to:
confirm the group
issue the inspector's report
communicate updates
No marketing. No spam. No selling data. Ever.
